I was born in the land of lakes and volcanoes, some would argue that the most remarkable thing about it is the number of writers and poets that were born in the country.
After obtaining my Nicaraguan and French baccalaureat, I got on a plane for the very first time and moved to Europe.
I lived in southwestern France where I absorbed its language, literature and culture.
After a History degree, I specialized in American and Latin American studies in Toulouse and I did a semester abroad, in Alcalá de Henares, Spain.
I became a Spanish teacher in France, but then came the covid pandemic.
Life brought me to Geneva, Switzerland, where I began to study translation.
I specialized in legal and institutional translation and finished my Master's degree in 2024.
You can take a look of my diplomas and certificates here.
My first translation job was volunteer work for DOCIP
(Indigenous peoples' center for documentation, research and information).
I had the opportunity to collaborate with UPR Info by translating courses about the Universal Periodic Review, a United Nations human right mechanism.
Then I joined the United Nations Office in Geneva as a translation intern for two months.
In addition of having a great professional experience in the biggest international organization,
I was privileged to talk and exchange with outstanding professionals and extraordinary people.

Therefore I:
—use a gnu linux operating system, which enhances my computer's performance and extends its life expectancy;
—avoid using cloud-based drives and softwares;
—use a local host (Infomaniak) that commits with renewable energies and compensation policies;
—work in a Minergie certified space, powered by at least 40 % of renewable energy.
